FAQs

General Questions

Q:

Is Frisco HIS a co-op or a drop off program?

A:

No, we are not a co-op, a drop-off program; nor do we offer classes.

Frisco Home Is School is a Moms community working together to encourage each other and plan engaging events that help to enrich our homeschools.

We encourage our mom to connect by offering “moms only” events such as:

  • craft nights
  • holiday parties
  • various homeschool helps, such as curriculum show-and-tell, High School 101, special needs moms' coffees, etc.

We also know that you have days when you are weary, frustrated and overwhelmed. You might be in a crazy season of life with a new baby, ill parents, or any number of life circumstances that keep you on the sidelines. We get that! You are welcome and hopefully will find respite and wonderful mentors and friends who have been there and done that. Or maybe you are just new to this homeschooling thing; our Outreach Director would love to help!

Another way we serve our members is through various activities for our children!

Members volunteer to host events such as:

  • field trips
  • park days
  • holiday parties
  • Lego Club
  • Chess Club
  • Drama Club (Ages 13+)
  • family gatherings
  • high school hang outs
  • graduation
  • and much more!!!
